Your significant other has died and you need to get control of the checking account or the assets to pay the bills. The money is in a bank account; but the owner of the account is deceased and you can’t sign the checks. You go to the bank where the account is and are told that the account is frozen because the account holder is deceased. What can you do?
It is not a matter of “if” but a matter of “when” this will happen. The loss of a loved one is an emotionally and physically life changing event that the survivors carry with them for the rest of their lives. What should you do when this happens to you or your loved one?
